You guys keep saying that nobody would die for something they knew to be a lie, but how exactly did you come to think anybody died for it? Where are you getting this information? This is never answered by anybody.
It is believed in church histories that all but one of the original apostles was martyred. Eg: this article. I couldn’t independently tell you the confidence we should have in those accounts, if that’s what you’re asking me.
