The state is not going to go away because we argue it should. It seems to me that the only purpose of discussing how a stateless society would solve various problems is to discuss how those solutions can be enacted by entrepreneurs in the present. These insurance-based services you explain seem very interesting. They seem like they would be very important to making a free society work. Selling insurance in order to pay for the action needed to prevent the thing being insured against seems like a way to profitably address many problems which would otherwise not be profitable to solve without government force. I want to hear a discussion of whether insurance providers, which actively work to prevent the things they insure against, exist and, if not, why and thus what it would take to create such things. I have written about my thoughts on how this business model might bring about a somewhat stateless society.
